How to Use

1. Create an Account

When you download the App from Google Play Store or our Website, you will need to register using a valid Email id in order to use the App.

Step 1.1
Accept Policies

In order to use the app, you must accept the Policies displayed on the first page or would not be able to use the app.

Step 1.2
Fill the Registration Form

In order to register, you will need to fill the registration form or you may login if you have already created an account.

You will need to enter your name, a valid email id, and password

Step 1.3
Verify it’s you

Once you fill the form and register, you will receive a 6 digit single use key (OTP) which you will need to enter in order to register to our app. It is needed in order to verify the validity of your Email Id.

Once you enter the 6 digit key, you will automatically be logged in to your account.

Step 1.4
Use the App

Once your account has been created and you are logged in, you would see the above screen.

Your registered employees would appear here. If you are a first time user, you would see a message at the bottom of the screen along with a button which would open the list of apps from which you could choose how to send the Client app to the device which needs to be tracked or you may download the client app from our website.


2. Setup the App on the target device

Step 2.1
Download the Tracking Service

Once you Install and open the App from our website or from the ‘Share Client App’ link, the above screen would appear which would prompt you to download and Install the Tracking Service. Once click Download and Install, the Service will begin to download.

Install the Tracking Service

Once downloaded, the above popup will show, you may Exit or Proceed to Install the Service.

Step 2.3
Provide Installation Permission

If you clicked on Proceed in the previous step, you will forwarded to the above shown settings Page where you would need to provide permission to the app to install “Unknown Apps”.

You must ensure that the “Allow Apps from this source” setting is enabled.

Step 2.4
Proceed to Provide Necessary Permissions

Once the Service is Successfully Installed, the above screen would show up prompting you to Provide Permissions. You must provide access to all the Permissions otherwise the App will close and can’t be used.

Note:- If the Target Device is Android 11 (R) or above, some permissions such as Location, and Microphone would not be allowed always and would appear like this. In that case, you must select “allow while using the app”. If possible, go to settings and allow the Permissions forever.

Step 2.5
Register the Target Device

Once you have provided all the permissions, you can register the target device. You will need to enter First Name of the employee. The Host Email address and The Host Password are the same as what you had entered while making your account on the Host App (i.e. The App through which the Device would be monitored). If your credentials are correct, the Target Device will be added to your Account.

Step 2.6
Disable battery optimisation for the App (only for Android 6+)

If the Target Device is running Android 6+ (M), you will be prompted to allow the app to run in the background.

If you deny this, the app will still function but may be killed the OS or the Time Interval between location updates may be inconsistent.

Step 2.7
Start the Service

The above configuration screen will appear next. You will need to turn on “Location and Recorder Services” in order to Start tracking the device and Recording Calls.

Step 2.8
Hide the Notification (Optional)

Once you start the Tracking Service, the following notification would be displayed and would not be dismissible. In order to hide the Notification, open the App and uncheck “Show Service Notification”. This will redirect you to the Notification Settings Page for the App. You must disable notifications for the App in order them.

Step 2.9
Hide the App (Optional)

If you wish, you may hide the App Icon by unchecking the “Show App Icon” Setting in the App. This will prompt you to uninstall the “SugarSnooper Client Launcher” App. This is necessary and won’t erase the main service and the configuration panel would still be accessible afterwards. This will just uninstall the App through which the Service was downloaded.

If you wish to show the App icon again, just install the “SugarSnooperClient” App available on our website or just check the “Show App Icon” setting in the Configuration Panel and it will download the app and prompt you to install it.

Note:- If you wish to open the App once it is hidden, type the key set in the host device in the phone’s default dialler to open the app. The default key is: - “*1234#”


3. Track the Device

Step 3.1
View the Devices in the Host App

Once you have successfully registered the Client App on the Target Device, the Employee’s name along with the Employee Id will appear in the Device Selection Page. The Page automatically searches for new devices every time you start the app. If you don’t want to restart the app or the device isn’t shown in the list automatically, press the sync list button at the top right corner of the screen.

You may add as many devices as you wish and the Employee Id starts counting from 0.
